A Small Hole Somewhere Below Jack-Dam # 4
The Dunbar Creek Special Regulations Area has its share of problems. Chief among these are vandalism and litter. There is a small but disgusting and persistent group of criminals that constantly deface the area. If you see someone breaking the law, call:

Jim Ansell, Game Commissioner - (724) 626-0390

Pennsylvania State Police. - (724) 439-7406

Scott Opfer, Waterways Conservation Officer,
Fayette County. - (724) 569-9326

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF CONFRONTING CRIMINALS WITH THEIR BEHAVIOR!

NOTE! Your cell phone will not work in the Dunbar Valley until you reach the town of Dunbar.

Other hazards in the area include both Copperhead and Rattle Snakes and Poison Ivy. All of these things are very important parts of a healthy environment in this area. If you see them, give them a wide path.
